The 12th edition of the Peace and Sport International Forum is set to take place from 11 to 13 December in Monaco, Monte-Carlo.
This year’s Forum will be held at the One Monte-Carlo, the newest conference centre in the principality, and will welcome over 600 decision-makers from 90 countries.
Participants include heads of state, business and sports leaders, and Nobel Peace Prize laureates who will explore the theme “Investing in Peace, Acting through Sport”.
The annual Peace and Sport Awards ceremony will be held at the classy venue Opéra de Monte-Carlo on the evening of 12 December.
The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina along with the cities of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo is one of the three candidates for the Diplomatic Action of the Year award for their joint efforts in staging the successful 14th Winter European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) this February.
The other candidates running for this prize are: Youth Environment Service [YES] and World Taekwondo [WT].
This year there were a record number of applications for the nine awards to be granted to exceptional initiatives promoting peace through sport.
