The Olympic Channel, the online TV platform of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), is now available in six additional languages: German, French, Chinese, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Sports fans can look at the Olympic Channel’s offer in no fewer than seven languages. Subtitles are even available in ten languages.

“The Olympic Channel is a great medium to reach numerous people around the world, and to bring them closer to the diversity of the Olympic world by means of retrospectives and special scenes from the Olympic history. Many of these people now find this offer in their language, “says IOC President Thomas Bach.

In addition to their own broadcasts, the Olympic Channel shows news, live broadcasts of sports events and other major sporting events. The IOC had launched the transmitter in August 2016 to meet the 2020 agenda. This calls for new means and media to arouse the interest of the younger generations in the Olympic movement and its values.

The contributions of the Olympic channel are available worldwide via App (iOS and Android) as well as at www.olympicchannel.com
