The official agreement between the EOC and the Volleyball European Confederation was signed in Paris.

On 20 April, in Paris, Mr. Patrick Hickey, President of the European Olympic Committees and Mr. André Meyer, CEV President, signed the agreement between their two bodies in the presence Guido De Bondt, chair of the EYOF commission and all the CEV Board of Administration members present in the French capital for their meeting.
The agreement represents a very important step in order to integrate volleyball competitions within the frame of the European Youth Olympic Festival.
Mr. Patrick Hickey stated: “We are very happy that we managed to finalize the work we have been carrying out over the last months. The CEV joins 8 more European Sports Federations which already signed such an agreement along with the EOC for their respective disciplines”.
CEV President André Meyer added: “We are very proud for this important step, which offers our affiliated National Federations an additional opportunity to compete at a very high level within the frame of an event staged under the EOC banner”.
