Ukraine’s National Olympic Committee and National Antidoping Centre have organised a seminar for national sports federations’ presidents and staff at the NOC Headquarters in Kiev, urging them to tighten anti-doping rules ahead of the Games of XXXI Olympiad in Rio in August 2016.

NOC Vice President, Ihor Hotsul, who is also Senior Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth, chaired the meeting, which took place on Thursday June 16, where he was joined by NOC Executive Director Natalya Kovalenko and National Antidoping Center director Ivan Kurlishchuk.

Mr Hotsul addressed the attendees saying that every member of Olympic Movement must contribute strongly to the fight against doping in their specific sport, and generally within Ukraine’s sports community.

The National Federation presidents and representatives were informed about the procedures for doping control and health services ahead of and during the Rio 2016 Games, as well as about the Olympic Movement medical code.
