World’s leading Olympic collection unveiled in Minsk

The international exhibition of Vladimir Potanin’s collection of Olympic artefacts, organised by the Russian International Olympic University (RIOU), opened at Minsk City Hall today, 21 June.

Potanin, a Russian businessman and dedicated sports enthusiast, was on hand to present one of the world’s largest privately owned collections of Olympic memorabilia. The collection includes around 400 Olympic Games items, from the first modern Olympics held in Athens in 1896 to the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018.

The exhibition, which was officially opened by the President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), Janez Kocijančič, will be hold from 21 June to 14 July in Minsk, coinciding with the 2nd European Games.
