ZAGREB WELCOMES LAST MEETING OF THE OUTGOING EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The impressive top floor at the Croatian capital city hotel playing host to the European Olympic family meetings, welcomed today the last meeting of the outgoing EOC Executive Committee. A meeting dedicated to take stake of the last current topics, to refine the General Assembly scenario starting on Friday morning, and above all share congratulations and thanks to all the members that in different fields contributed during four years to the Association multiple activities.

It was among others the last participation of Russian member Alexander Kozlowski, vice president and member of the board for a quarter of a century, whose steady and refined presence to the group was unanimously appreciated.

The new team to lead the European Association will be known tomorrow when the attending 50 European NOC delegations will elect the new EOC Executive Committee for the 2017-2021 quadrennial. The President, Secretary General and Treasurer will stand unopposed, whilst there are two candidates for the post of Vice-President, and 23 contenders for the 12 Executive Committee posts available.

EOC Officials -Acting President Janez Kocijancic, Secretary General Pagnozzi and Treasurer Kikis Lazarides – who was able to lead the current European ship – will from tomorrow ensure continuity as well as transfer to a new era in which to keep and foster the unique role of the European Olympic Family.
